Hannibal the Cannibal

Okay, I'm a bit proud of this one, although it was drawn from a photograph. I was so fascinated by Anthony Hopkins' performance as Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs that I did this portrait of him afterwards. Wanted to use it with an essay I wrote on the movie but couldn'd find it among my papers in time, though, so it's unpublished (the drawing, not the essay).

First sketched with a pencil, then finished with charcoal (not used before and never since). For me, this was hard work, I can tell you.

And yes, there should be some more white in one eye to highten the effect. Sorry.
